About TORQ
- What is the Bud Clary TORQ program?
- TORQ stands for Training, Opportunity, Readiness & Qualifications. It is the Bud Clary Auto Group career program: two ladders, Service and Sales, that both start on the lot and both lead to running a store. Training is paid, openings are posted inside first, and qualifications move your pay when you earn them.
- Do I need experience to join TORQ?
- No. Both ladders start at lot attendant, porter or detailer, and neither requires automotive experience. From that first rung you choose the service drive or the showroom.
- Where do the two TORQ ladders lead?
- Service TORQ runs from lot attendant through express technician, technician, brand-certified technician and master technician, or through service advisor, up to service manager and service director. Sales TORQ runs from lot attendant through sales consultant, internet sales consultant and the Buy Center, up to F&I manager, desk manager, internet sales manager and general sales manager. Both ladders end at general manager, who runs the entire store.
Family-owned since 1959.
Promoting our own the whole way.
